Taki's Greek Kitchen

Taki's is great, but it is pretty difficult as a celiac! I did not even make it through dinner.....

That said, our server was wonderful, and did her best. My gyro-connoisseur husband liked, but did not love the gyro. The pita bread looked amazing, and I was told it was. I had the kitchen salad with grilled chicken, which was juicy and flavorful.

Taki's is very popular and busy, and the staff is great, especially the bartenders. Give it a try!!!

Taki's Greek Kitchen is a hidden gem in Avon Lake, Ohio. It is a small, family-owned restaurant that serves authentic Greek cuisine. The menu features a wide variety of appetizers, salads, entrees, and desserts. I had the lamb shank, which was slow-cooked and falling off the bone. It was served with a side of roasted vegetables and rice. I ordered take out and waited at the bar for my order. I over heard fun conversation between the bartender and what seemed several regular patrons. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. My order came in an acceptable wait time and was packaged perfectly for transport.

Overall, I highly recommend Taki's Greek Kitchen. It is a great place to enjoy a delicious and authentic Greek meal.

I tried this restaurant on Saturday night and boy was it busy. The service was very friendly and prompt and me & my party were seated at the bar. If you plan to go for dinner I do highly recommend reservations. The food was very good and was some of the best Greek cuisine I have ever had. I definitely will be back as this was a very good experience.

Was there tonight and our server Angel, is an angel. I felt we were good friends when we left. I am Greek and the food is to die for. Try the app, grilled octopus, so tender and full of flavor. Ambiance feels like you are somewhere in Greece. Thank you

Arrived after seeing this place on yelp. Didn't have a reservation but they were very accommodating in seating us in a reasonable time. I had the lamb shank dinner and it was delicious. The service was excellent and the atmosphere there was wonderful. Will definitely go back.

A group of six of us came to eat on a Tuesday early evening. When I made the reservation I was told that any group of five or more will be charged $25 for each person who doesn't attend. If the numbers change, they must be notified within 24 hours.

One of our friends had an emergency at 4pm and had to cancel on us. Clearly, I could not have known this and called it in 24 hours prior. We tried to reason with the owner who would not budge. We certainly understood that if an entire group canceled, or if this was on a weekend, but it was on a Tuesday and our number difference did not change the table size. There are emergencies that occur and should be considered, but the owner would not accommodate us.

To add insult to injury, the website states that parties of TEN or more will be subject to this policy, NOT a group of six.

Our group will not be going back to Taki's.

Went with a couple of friends for dinner to hangout and catch up. Made a reservation for the patio and was seated promptly. The server was nice and very attentive. The patio was very pleasant and easy to hear everyone in your group talk. All the food we ordered was delicious! The grape leaves are a must and their tzatziki is so good! If your looking for a good strong drink the Zeus Juice will hit the spot. Didn't feel rushed at all, everything came out in a timely manner, and we where able to enjoy all the courses. Will be back again!

We took our friend there for her birthday and it was sublime. But this is Taki! Is anyone surprised? I had a heavenly spaghetti with shrimps, oysters and something else. It was so good. Taki's been in restaurant business all his life and you can tell. One of my friends had an enormous salad and the birthday girl had fish. The three of us were ready to lick our plates.
An unexpected treat was the dessert which Taki picked for us, and it was on the house.
I highly recommend this place.
