You got rid of the Tony Special!?!? The namesake. What the heck!?!? No Mickey Special?!?!? So over this place. You could find people to work. The building has to be paid off by now. You're just cheap and do not want to pay workers. Prices keep going up. Portions keep getting smaller. Shame on you guys.

That's cheap. Dinners no longer come with a side salad. Seriously? Iceberg lettuce and some dressing. And, since it has been all carry out, you are not losing money on garlic bread. Added bonus---your portions are easily half. I love this place--but it won't last. People will spend money elsewhere. Sad.
With all this said, please do not change interior. Classic Parasson's. If you want it changed, you just don't get it. Feels like home.Jan 4, 2020Previous reviewThis place is classic Stow! Great food. I'm not gonna lie---I love the atmosphere and especially the back room with the fireplace. Wonderful lasagna! Amazing pasta sauce. Friendly staff. Love this place since I was a year old. 40+ years later and I still can't get enough!

Amazing... Food was great. Chow delivery person was great as well. We haven't ordered here for a while, Wow. The sauce, cheese, meatballs, all great.

Love this place. The food is never disappointing and I love coming here to treat myself. I love the pizza and baked alfredo. Staff is always friendly.

Always amazing food, it's a flashback to my childhood. I am sad, it's carry out only but it is still as delicious!!

It kind of depends what your expectations are. No, this isn't a restaurant you'll find in Italy, yet alone Cleveland's Little Italy. There's nothing wrong with that though. It's just a solid, no frills, cheap place.
First date spot? Probably not. 1,678th date spot after 36 years of marriage? Yes
I think the decorations are the same as when I was a kid and was still trying to figure out why I had to order an entree when I'd rather just eat 13 pieces of garlic bread. I guess I'm still trying to figure that one out.
I always liked the chicken parm. You get garlic bread and a side (fries, salad or Italian wedding soup) with all entrees, subs and even personal pizza's. It's a tonnn if good for the $10-12 range.
Definitely not the healthiest, everything is loaded with cheese.
You can order any sub with the garlic sub roll. It's great with the cheesesteak sub.
I'll never go out of my way to come here, nor recommend it. But I'm never against it. Probably a 3 star place, but I'll add an extra star because of sentimental value.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 10Oh no 0 - Susan C.Stow, OH7269134Mar 7, 2021Updated review
Today was my 2nd carry out order since the pandemic. The first time, they did not put silverware or napkins in the bag, so of course everything was cold by the time I got it home. Today, everything was in the bag but in spite of pulling into a nearby parking lot to eat, the spaghetti was already cold and the garlic bread was cold and dried out. I won't be back until the dining room reopens.

First, the painting of the outside of the restaurant in a beautiful brick red is such a huge improvement! No updating to the interior, but it's a start. They have added a new house-made Italian dressing, which was good. The quality of the lettuce has improved as well. The spaghetti was the same as always. The server, Noelle, was lovely. Much better experience than my last visit.
Oct 7, 2016Previous reviewI don't come often anymore, as I said in my previous review, so I didn't know the menu had changed. Julia, my millennial waitress, asked me if I needed a minute before I even opened the menu, but I knew I just wanted the small spaghetti so I ordered. I was surprised a salad didn't come with it anymore, but they aren't very good anyway, so ok. I was shocked when she brought out the spaghetti--it was in a small, child-sized bowl. I tried to say something, but she walked away. I saw on the bill that it was a side order of spaghetti. Did Julia say that before she gave the order to the kitchen? Of course not. I am so tired of millennials in the work place who have no clue that going through the motions of working isn't the same as actually doing the job.
Apr 14, 2012Previous reviewI used to really enjoy Parasson's, but I don't go much any more, and here's why: (1) the restaurant hasn't been updated in forever, so it has a very tired, worn-out, uncomfortable feel; (2) they switched from Coke to Pepsi; (3) the salads used to be so good, but now they're ho-hum and they have eliminated the noncreamy Italian dressing; (4) the tomato sauce is different, way too strong/bitter and salty; (5) the bathrooms are in the basement, and I'd guess that is in violation of the Americans With Disabilities Act. I used to go there just for the garlic bread, but that was a million years ago when it was made there in the restaurant with sub buns. Now it's the same bread you buy at the grocery store. I'd like to be a regular again, but I don't see it happening.

Seriously who doesn't take cash anymore? Don't give me some BS about a national coin shortage, Ever here of rounding up or down? That's soooo ridiculous you guys just lost a customer of over 20 years.

Tony's special and anti pasta salad are my go to at this place. But everything is great on the menu. Homemade house dressing is to die for!!

My husband and I stop for dinner on occasion. I knocked off a star because they don't offer red wine at room temperature. And it's not just slightly chilled, it's really cold. Ugh! They have really good wedding soup and bread, everything else is just o-k, nothing to rave about but large portions at reasonable prices. Service is always good. The decor is old and tired looking, plus we always ask not to be seated in the room dotted with a hundred ultra bright blinding lights! (Anyone who has been here knows the room I'm referring to) All in all it's a convenient place for us to stop for a cheap meal with plenty of leftovers.

It's been well over ten years since I last visited this restaurant so I decided to give it another try today. First off, many of the reviews on here are correct, this place hasn't changed at all in ten years. It wouldn't hurt to update the decor and menu.
I would also recommend that they change the name to Parassons Italian FAMILY Restaurant because that's who they're appealing to. At a nice Italian restaurant you won't find promotions on the table advertising root beer or lava cakes (it reminded me of Bob Evans). During my visit the staff came out to do a birthday song for the family next to us... normally that annoys the living crap out of me however this chant was pretty funny and the kids at their table seemed to really enjoy it.
Our waitress was a really nice woman! She was very attentive, responded very politely to our questions, and she was super patient when my dad took forever to order. She even asked if I wanted a lemon with my iced tea (many waiters and waitresses don't ask). I can honestly say she was one of the friendliest waitresses I have ever met.
The food is okay. Don't come here with the expectations that you're going to be blown away, it's just average Italian food (and I don't blame the chefs). I think the Parasson family is content with their average (small) menu with no specials. If the Parasson family wanted to be creative they would revamp their menu, offer something that is unique and creates a buzz, but I don't see them doing that. Yes, their garlic bread is quite good but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. And for those of you that gave this place a five star review, you obviously haven't been to a five star restaurant.
The prices are very reasonable, it certainly appeals to a family budget. I noticed their menu doesn't show the prices for beverages. That deterred me from ordering any wine or beer.
My overall review, it's a cheaper alternative than going to the Oliver Garden. If you have kids this would be the perfect place to take them. If you're looking to impress a date, I would definitely go somewhere else. I'm calling out the Parasson family to update their restaurant and menu, stop collecting the cash and start reinvesting it into your restaurants. Sure you're family owned and operated since 1960 but it won't last that way forever.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
