Golden Nugget Pancake House

If we keep eating like this, I'm probably going to have to roll my project manager into the next customer office. Golden Nugget was a lot of food and it was delicious.

Breakfast this morning and while they serve the coffee in cute cups with saucers, the waitstaff was by often with refills. Food arrived and my omelet was massive. Nicely loaded and very hot from the griddle. With a pile of sliced tomatoes instead of potatoes and toast because I'm still losing weight on keto, thanks!

My PM had a Belgian waffle and it came with a massive jug of hot maple syrup. He was most pleased.

Good service and a huge breakfast.

If you've ever been to Dayton chances are you've eaten here. It's been open for several lifetimes, except for the time it burned down and was rebuilt. It was a dive before that, with the best breakfast in town. Now it's nicer, and still has the best breakfast in town. Prepare to stand in line to eat here most of the time. And it's only open for breakfast and lunch. Skip lunch and have breakfast whatever time you're here...it's the real draw.

Service is good. It should be...some of the waitresses have been there for 140 years. And value for money. How often can you say that?

Really great food at a good price. The line moves quickly and our wait on a packed Sunday morning was only 20 minutes. The pancakes were great and the French toast was also good. Very good service with a friendly staff.

If you're visiting Dayton and have never been to the Golden Nugget, you have to eat here. If you are from here and haven't been, what's taking you so long?

This place is a priceless piece of Dayton history and has arguably the best breakfast in town. I honestly have never eaten lunch here despite eating here my entire life, though they are open until 3 PM most days. Their breakfast options are numerous, and they have something for everyone. In my most recent visit, I tried the sausage gravy biscuits (not a glamorous looking food by any means) and it was some of the best I've ever had.

Despite the restaurant being packed (all tables full plus a line), our waitress was still able to check on us multiple times during the meal and refilled our drinks whenever we needed. Wonderful service!

Everyone in town comes here which may be the primary draw. It was nice to see. I was hoping to find some local farm fresh flavors but all was mass commercial.

My fav place for breakfast but on the weekend their will be a line ... the line moved pretty fast. The food and service are top notch. Large selection and they are the only place that cooks bacon the way I prefer. . I specify extra crispy yet they don't incenerate it. Love this place. I often order the blintzes. .my husband gets the Canadian bacon which is the thickest I've ever had.

This place is an institution in Dayton. We stopped in here for a late breakfast on a Friday. We had the specials (eggs, hash browns, and pancakes for $7.99) and I was literally shocked how much food came to our table. This place is a can't miss for breakfast or lunch. You'll never need to ask for a refill on your coffee because the awesome waitstaff will be constantly topping off your cup. If there's a line, don't worry...it moves fast because there's a lots of seating inside and paying at the counter speeds things up. Thank you for always being perfect Golden Nugget!

I love it and will give more details later. I'm traveling from texas. Service friendly fast and informative the most delicious food I've had in Ohio. The hot tea was amazing Rituals from US foods. Wedges were amazing they weren't even my meal and I was amazed at how tasty they were. I wish I would have wrote this while it was still fresh in my brain. I absolutely would recommend this place and would make it my go to place when in town.

The golden nugget has always been a place for my family and I have gone to for years. This was my first time going in a while. I went after work and got their special of 2 eggs sausage home fries and biscuits and gravy. The food was good, per usual. Our waitress just seemed like she was rushing us. After she finally gave us our check she didn't pay that much attention to us after except for to clean up. If I wouldn't have felt rushed I would be giving a 5 but since my breakfast felt rushed to get out the door, 4 it is.
