Obsessed with the moody vibes of this place - you truly feel like you're in NYC or LA, the atmosphere is so nice. Went for a girls night and love their extensive wine list along with the ahhhhmazing bruschetta board options. We got the mushroom, the fig, the salmon and the olive tapenade and they were all chefs kiss. They even traveled well home for the next day which is hard to do with bruschetta. I also got the salmon Cesar salad which was fabulous and traditionally prepared. Highly recommend giving this a try for a girls night or date night, you won't be disappointed. Fresh ingredients and great service made this a wonderful night.

I came to Gigi's for dinner on the patio with a friend before a show at Playhouse Square. We each got a drink then shared a bruschetta board and 2 small plates.
We came primarily for the bruschetta board since it was my first time here and that is what they are known for. We got the prosciutto/fig/marscapone, tomato/shallot/whipped feta, mushroom/caramelized onion/chevre, and apple/brie/fig jam. The prosciutto was definitely the best and most unique of the bunch. I was skeptical about the marscapone on this one but it ended up being delicious. The tomato and mushroom ones were very simple. This is something I appreciated because I knew exactly what I was going to taste and I thought they were good, but I wish there was an extra twist to each of them because it kind of felt like I could've just made the same thing at home. The brie was a little disappointing - we got perhaps the smallest and thinnest piece of brie on our bread. When I did get a good taste of it, it was great, but the rest of the time I was just eating fig jam on bread.
I thoroughly enjoyed both of our small plates which were the specials of the night - the bao with Ohio wagyu beef and kimchi + tuna tataki. I appreciated how they paired well together and I thought they were both good portions - the tuna tataki came with a good amount of seaweed salad and the baos were more filling than I expected (although I still wish for $19 that we got more than just 2!)
We each got a cocktail, but I honestly wasn't into any of the options so I just got the First Blush which was not that special but fine because I don't think I would've liked any of the other drinks based on my palate.
Gigi's was good - nothing blew me away but it was overall a solid dinner and I left feeling satisfied. I would definitely come back, especially since the specials rotate every night. Because it was my first time at Gigi's I felt obligated to get the bruschetta board, but next time I feel like I'll be more taken by other menu items and branch out!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jan 8, 2023
Wonderful server who edited my drinks to reduce the sugar. Cocktail list is plentiful with some unique options and old favorites. Delicious charcuterie board and my arugula salad with roasted turkey was delicious! The arugula was perfectly dressed with red wine vinaigrette and tossed with some tomato and a good portion of sliced roasted turkey breast which was refreshing for those of us tired of chicken on our salad. Highly recommend RSVP as they are a small place that fills up fast. Low lighting so prepare your cell phone light to read the menu. Definitely an expensive place for what it is.

Gigi's has been on my list for a while and so happy I finally came. The staff was very warm and there is a friendly neighborhood energy.
Cocktails are a perfect combo of alcohol and flavor. Fantastic.
The bruschetta board is so unique and I love that they cut each bread into four making is so shareable! I don't think you can go wrong with any of the flavors if you're willing to try new flavors. The charcuterie board we ordered had one of the best pate I've ever had....it was smooth and the taste is strong but not overpowering.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 16, 2023Updated review
This was my 2nd visit to Gigi's and it was SO much better, than my first visit. This was a 5-star+ visit! The food, ambiance and best of all, service (shout out to Kristi!). My daughters and I ventured out for a pre-Mother's Day meal, on Saturday night. We were seated and then, immediately greeted by Kristi. We started with wine, cocktails and the Bruschetta board! The Bruschetta Board was EVERYTHING! 4 choices from a list of delicious options. We chose the mushroom w/caramelized onions, ricotta w/honey, smoked salmon w/capers, and avocado w/tomato. Each one, was tasty, but my favorite was the mushroom! We then proceeded to order entrees, salmon, chicken piccatta, turkey brie panini. Each entree was generously portioned, and expertly prepared. We finished the meal with almond cake. The food was tasty, but the highlight of the meal, was our server, Kristi. She was warm, attentive, and knowledgeable, best service, that I've had, in a very long time.

I made the decision, last minute, so I was concerned that there would be a wait. Luckily, most patrons opted to sit outside, so there was plenty of seating inside. I was seated immediately. The menu is a bit limited, and the morning cocktails were a little pricey. I ordered a bellini, which was $11.50 and it was just ok, not much peach flavor. I was torn between ordering the French toast and the shrimp and grits. I opted for the latter. Upon placing my order, the server asked if I wanted to try the chef's add-on ($1.50 upcharge), lemony barbecue sauce with bacon and mushrooms. I love bacon and mushrooms but not sure that I wanted barbecue sauce on top my entrée, so the server suggested I get it on the side, I agreed. A short time later, the server returned and stated that the chef had already ladled the sauce on top, but could re-make the dish. Well, I was starving, and I hate to waste food, so I agreed to take the dish with the add-on. After the first bite, I immediately regretted not insisting that the sauce be served on the side. The sauce completely overpowered the shrimp and grits, and just made it very soupy and sloppy. The shrimp were abundant and cooked perfectly, and the grits looked really tasty, but the sauce was just too much. I picked through the dish, finished the bellini and requested the check. $31 later, I left full, but not completely satisfied. I will return at some point, to try some of the other menu options.
