Durbin Magic Freeze

Ice cream is great with a lot of variety and the people are always friendly. I love their special flavors and especially their pumpkin when they have it.

We love Durbin Magic Freeze; this little place has been serving custard ice cream cones to the surrounding areas since 1953, and they have ice cream down--especially custard ice cream. No one makes it smoother, creamier, or tastier than Durbin. I've been driving over there for my yearly custards for decades, whether in or out of town! Yep, the drive and trip are worth every moment of your time. They serve the whole gambit of choices, but I always preferred their chocolate custard. Recommend

Vanilla custard is really good and creamy. Yum!!! My son ordered a large hot fudge sundae and it was huge!!! Not bad prices neither

Love this place! Just recently takes card but cash is accepted. Great soft serve flavors and good hard scoop options. Seating limited but 10/10 place

Super delicious hard serve ice cream! Lots of parking spaces here too! There were many people in line, and because of having lots of employees, they were able to keep the line moving quickly. Everyone received their ice cream orders in a timely manner. Like the variety of flavors. Tried the peanut butter crunch. Yum! Durban's also sells custard, which I will try the next time I am here.

Pumpkin shake in April...yay...and the chocolate covered strawberry ice cream was enjoyed greatly the next day

Great Ice Cream! Flavors change all the time. My family has been going to Durbin my whole life. Also does a great job of giving back to our community.

Fantastic soft serve and hard ice cream. The flavors are classic and they have ones that change, they post them on Facebook. Cute local ice cream place that's been around forever. Excellent value too!

There is no better place to get ice cream or hot fudge! They always have a couple different soft serve flavors to try out, and they never disappoint. This is the only place I go to get amazing ice cream!!

Made the 30+ minute drive today to try the homemade hot fudge... it was good, but nothing crazy.

The staff was incredibly welcoming, patient, and friendly!!

Where Durbin misses the beat is in its flavors:
The vanilla didn't have a strong vanilla flavor, more like plain milk.

I got pina colada custard and it was PINK. A pink pina colada?? I 100% thought it was strawberry when I got it, and told the staff I was supposed to get pina colada and they responded "that is pina colada". Awkward! Absolutely NO pineapple flavor. My mom said she tasted coconut, but I wasn't even sold on that. Thank goodness they have VERY CHEAP PRICES so I didn't feel that bad throwing my cone away. Maybe I should have sampled first, but wow not at all what I wanted or was expecting. Maybe watch how you label your flavors? @ Durbin

Again, I was wonderfully impressed with the low prices! Muuuuuch better than the $5 a cone places in other towns.

Overall, I would like to give them another try if I'm ever in the area, but I would not drive 35 minutes again.
