Jack's Deli & Restaurant

We came here on a Saturday during lunchtime and it was packed. We had to wait in line for quite some time to be seated. You literally wait in a line in a very small crowded area.

Once we were seated, our waiter was very fast paced! Got us our water and coffee right away. And took our orders quickly after.

The menu was very large and expansive. Plenty of options for vegetarians or gluten-free preferences.

We got the mini potato pancakes for an appetizer. DELISH!!! So creamy and good.

My husband got the Reuben he said was excellent as well! I got the challah French toast, that was good, but nothing special.

The only reason I took off a star was bc the dishes didn't feel the cleanest. Had that diner grime to them. And because I had high expectations for the French toast and it didn't meet them. Again, it was still tasty, I just set too high of expectations for it! (I love French toast and I thought the challah bread would add something unique to the dish and it didn't).

Overall, I would 100% recommend! Just be prepared to wait!

I haven't been to Jacks in a very long time. Still is one of the best corned beef sandwiches in CLE. Not overly large, but enough to fill me up. Also you have try the cheesecake. Made in house and it is a good size slice. Cheaper than the factory down the street, not as many flavors, but I would say heads up... I'd take this place everyday all day.

Once we got seated, service was great. There was always someone to check up on up, filled up my coffee often. Which is not an easy task to do.

My son got the waffle. He did say it was one of the best waffles he has ever had. He doesn't say much, but when he does, I have to note it.

As far as cost... about what you would expect. Wasn't the cheapest place, but it definitely isn't the most expensive. Just good diner food with an attached deli.

I would come back.

More corned beef on my corned beef sammich than I could eat. We both had the same thing and both raved.

I definitely recommend Jack's! I've only been there once but we will def be returning.

Well I want to rate lower but I think I just ordered the wrong thing. The burger was awful which surprised me when they asked how I wanted it cooked. I then asked for mayo and mustard to cover up the flavor and got either really bad mayo or what I assume was miracle whip. My ask much like a coke vs Pepsi request is that if you don't have mayo and only have miracle whip, just let me know and I won't get it. Fries were over cooked and cold so that was all bad. I love pickles but no dill flavor and overly salty but great crunch! No picture of the fruit bowl but also really not ripe. Watermelon was mealy, pineapple was hard and sour, honeydo was good though. Plus a few decent blue berries.

Potato pancake doesn't look good and also didn't hit. But the potato salad and the hearty soup were great. Guess I should have gotten the corned beef so lesson learned.

Wait staff was kind and accommodating which was appreciated.

Casual nice deli. Classic menu items. The corned beef was fantastic! Would love to come back to try the matzoh brei. Everything is house made and you can tell! Very fresh pickles were great. Deli items to take home, fresh made bagels, and other bakery items. Service was good. Wish this was by my house!!

Best chicken salad we have ever tasted!!!!! All their salads were so good. Tasted them at the Best of the East in Beechwood. I would make the trip to their deli.

Cleveland's only surviving kosher style deli. All your favorites are on the large menu. Potions are huge, and delicious. Service was great. Everything I saw on the other tables looked so good to me. It's hard to decide what to eat here. Love this place.

I ordered online and went in for pick up. I originally wanted curbside but there was nowhere to park. Parking is the only issue. I ordered a Ruben wrap & my uncle ordered a Ruben sandwich. They were both to die for. I especially liked the wrap which the tortilla was light. A lot of corned beef and it was shaved. The sauerkraut flavor was perfect without seeds. I got the Cole slaw and it was not mayo based. It was fresh, flavorful & light. The potato salad had mustard in it which is a must, very creamy. The pickles were awesome. Jack's does not hold a backseat to another deli that recently closed after 65 years. Jack's is better! Our order was perfect & service quick.

Iconic Cleveland deli. One of the last of its kind. Highly recommend get the corned beef, Matzeh ball soup, and cottage fries

Found this place on TikTok lol, decided to go here instead of my usual place to grab a corned beef. I end up getting it grilled with American and provolone cheese, the sandwhich came with a pickle that was kinda sweet.. it was so different and paired very well with the corned beef. Like I said, this was my first time here and the lady at the front greeted me with a smile and looked at me CRAZY when I told her I'd never been there before, she said "I bet you won't be going anywhere else" and she is absolutely right lol! She was super sweet and welcoming, my sandwhich was hot and did not lack flavor at all; most importantly, the deli was super clean.. I did not eat in though so not sure how the diner side looks.
