Dean Martin's Lanning's

So far above the rest! This restaurant from start to finish is the entire dining experience personified! From the convenience of the valet and coat check, to the host who always makes certain that you are welcome to be there, this dining experience is old school full service. The food is exceptional, steaks are cooked to perfection the way a steak should be cooked and full of flavor. Seafood is always fresh, sharable sides are generous and some of the best I have ever had. Just like with everything else every attention to detail at Lanning's is carefully paid attention to. Its a group effort here and it shows. If you are looking for a true first class dining experience and top notch food that is worth every penny.. Dean Martin's Lanning's is an absolute must go!

Celebrates 46 years of wedded bliss at Lanning's. . Easily one of the best dining experiences we have had in NEO Ohio.

The physical space was beautiful, kinda old-school supper club feel to the place. We went on a Sunday night so it was not very crowded. We did have a reservation, but it probably was not needed. As this was our first time dining here we decided to play it on the safe side.

Food was beyond delicious. I had the seared scallops with Louisiana butter. Wife the the flounder special. We had an app of lump crab that was also excellent. Service by Taylor and Dominic was attentive without being over-bearing. Had a couple of drinks before dinner, decent enough selection and a nice glass of wine with dinner. All were good.

Overall this is a true fine dining experience. Pricing is not for the faint of heart, but didn't think for the experience it was out of line.

Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back.

Ok. I grew up in Akron, Ohio but never ate here until recently. For full disclosure, I live in Houston now, where we have some amazing steakhouses.

Service was attentive, enjoyed the decor and view and everyone was polite and attentive.

We ordered the pork belly appetizer - sauce was good but pork belly was dry and overcooked. Still ok just overcooked!

I ordered the bone in ribeye...wow this was a disappointment. Steak was extremely fatty and was definitely not prime. If you cut into it, it was grey as other reviewers have mentioned. It was also unevenly cooked. I ordered medium rare...some parts were raw and some were medium well...none of it was medium rare.

We also ordered the lobster Mac....it was good but very little lobster and was really missing the lobster flavor as well. Was ok at best! Lastly, we ordered the asparagus that was good.

It was my mother and sisters birthday and both ordered seafood and seemed happy with their dishes... I tasted the sea bass and it was ok to good.

I have eaten at many nice restaurants all over the country. This is like an Outback with fancy waiters and overpriced food. I would stay away!

My husband and I wanted to hear some jazz and after searching we came up with Lanning's which was featuring a jazz duo in their Deano's Lounge this past Saturday evening. WOW! we have never been to Lannings and our choice could not have been any better. The lounge was as classy as it gets. An old throwback to the lounges in Vegas. The owner came up and introduced himself and he explained that was his intention since he took possession three years prior. We sat at the bar and had some of the most delicious drinks and service extraordinaire! The cuisine was delicious and the duo added to the whole experience perfectly.
The most enjoyable dining experience we have had in a long time.
Cannot wait to return to this first class establishment in the near future and sit in the beautiful dining room. A well oiled machine this place is. A real gem!

My recent experience dinning at Lanning's was spectacular. The interior is completely remodeled since we last visited about seven years ago. The decor is certainly more modern and it's decorated very well with many Dean Martin pictures and art. We were nicely greeted, and the staff was very friendly during our entire meal.

All the menu items we ordered were wonderful. We started out with the escargot which was very good and dipping the table bread into the garlic sauce was just perfect. I ordered the filet and I can say that it is on the same level as the Marble Room. My wife tried the flounder and crab special, and it was very delicious as well. The lobster mac & cheese side was better than expected so we were very pleased. The chocolate chip lava cake à la mode dessert was very rich and tasty, but and a great end to the night.

One of the best parts about our experience was being greeted and having a discussion with the owner Dean Martin. He sat at our table to chat with us for a bit. That's awesome when an owner will stop by and have a chat with customers to make them feel more welcome.

Went here for our anniversary and then came back again because we had to have another steak! Great cuts and selection and they have a great chef that cooks everything exactly as expected. Love the sear and seasoning. Definitely want to come back here to check out a happy hour at the bar - love the atmosphere and vibe.

Had a wonderful anniversary dinner several months ago. It felt like we time warped back to the RatPack years. From the valet, to the hostess, the music, the newly retro decor, the beautiful view of the river. The wait staff were wonderful. The drinks and food were wonderful. We look forward to returning!

From cocktails to dessert, everything is top notch! My husband and I went for my birthday and everyone treated me extra special! It was a very lovely evening! Entertainment was great too!

I was disappointed by the blue point oysters. They should not have been served because of lack of taste and size. Everything else was delicious. Service was good as usual.
My wife feels the same way about her Oysters Rockefeller. Didn't think there were any in the offering. She's not as complementary about the seasoning.
Lanning's is a great place to celebrate a special occasion. We were there to celebrate a wedding anniversary and then went out of their way to make it special.
