My friend and I were craving pizza, so we decided on Belleria's. We got seated immediately; however, we had to wait sometime to get our drinks and then even longer passed to get our order in. We had to wait an hour to get a 12" pepperoni pizza, and our server ignored our table the entire night; she only came to take the drink order, bring the drink, take the food order, and bring the food. We never got any update on our order. As for the food, it was terrific. Hands down one of the most incredible pizzas I've ever had! I also ordered a sangria, which tastes fantastic; I 100% recommend it. The price was also excellent, and my bill was around $14 with the pizza and soda drink for two. The server ended up taking the sangria off my bill; she decided to tell me by mentioning that she did so as I was walking out, which was a bit awkward. The place is
small and cozy, super cute. It had a nice view of the outside. I would overall recommend the food, but maybe order takeout and be ready to wait around an hour. So add that to your schedule if you're coming to this restaurant!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Khushi P.Macedonia, OH0236Apr 22, 2024
Belleria Pizza and Italian Restaurant is a fantastic spot if you're craving authentic Italian flavors. They absolutely have the best breadsticks around--soft, garlicky, and always served warm, perfect for dipping into their rich marinara sauce. Along with their delicious pizzas and pasta, Belleria makes for a satisfying meal every time. Definitely a go-to place for a casual dinner or to satisfy your Italian food cravings!

A friend & I happened upon Belleria last night (10/15/23) as we were walking through Kent looking for a place to eat. In fact, as we entered we met a young lady & her folks & asked if they'd eaten here before only to learn she works here!
The atmosphere is reasonably intimate & cozy - the 2nd floor of an older building overlooking downtown Kent. Nothing particularly special or unique but certainly not offensive, either.
The menu was extensive with the usual array of Italian fare. Again...nothing that really stood out or seemed particularly unique. Prices were reasonable with the daily special of lasagna, a salad and rolls going for $14.99.
Our server, Olivia, was pleasant & attentive without being over-bearing or annoying. There was no bread on the table & our server forgot our salads but brought them later. No big deal.
I ordered lasagna & my friend ordered chicken fettuccine Alfredo. The portions were large & well-presented.
The lasagna was one of the best I'd ever tasted. Layers of meat, cheese & some of the best marinara sauce I've ever tasted. My friend's fettuccine was also excellent with plenty of tender, juicy white-meat chicken - perfectly seasoned - with just the right amount of savory & zest.
Then the rolls came out.
Usually, this is just an ancillary part of the dinner experience. But not at Bellaria! These homemade yeast rolls were some of the best either of us have ever had & they literally brought an already memorable experience to the next level. We were told extra rolls were $.50 apiece (they're worth every penny) but we were never charged.
Obviously, ours is a purely subjective experience and everyone's tastes are different. But if you're in Kent, and looking for what I believe is one of the best Italian meals I've ever had, Bellaria is definitely worth a visit.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mua P.North Ridgeville, OH02Nov 3, 2023
Terrible experience at this restaurant. When we first arrived, my boyfriend, my sister, her boyfriend, and myself, We were told it would be a 30 to 40 minute wait. We went outside and waited. By the time we got back into the restaurant 40 minutes had passed. I approached the host stand, upon which the host with a pair of glasses on told me it'll be no more than a few minutes, and that our group was the next up on the list.
10 minutes later, we were then taken to a booth. By now it had been 50 minutes, and we were then greeted by nothing short of an aggressive server, who quickly and sternly asked our drink orders. She mentioned her being there since 9:30 am , and this now being 9:00, she came off as short-wired and erratic. She came back to the table, where my sister and her boyfriend had now joined us. Without saying a word, she threw down a few straws and clunked the glasses down on the table, and left. We then we're left waiting for 20 minutes. My sister's boyfriend said a quick "excuse me" as she passed by us for the 10th time, which was met with by an aggressive "I have to deal with this table then i'll be back with you." By then we had our entire appetizer and entree order prepared, and finally ordered after 25 minutes of waiting.
Our food finally arrived, and she came back and asked hurriedly , "How is everything so far?". My sister responded "It's great. Thank you". She then , while looking her in the eyes , blurted "Bitch." . Quite loudly.
We all look noticeably shocked as she quickly apologized and over explained , again , that she had been there since 9:30 am. We sat there shocked for a while and pondered what could've possibly prompted her to say that. Did she mean to say it under her breath? Or when she walked away? We were genuinely confused.
She transferred us to a different server, (thank god) upon which we ordered dessert. She soon after came up , interjecting the new young server who was asking us how everything was , and asked "How are the cannolis". My sister and I looked at each other in mortified anticipatory silence and I felt the need to ask, "Did you mean to call my sister a bitch earlier?"
She was quick to say that she had no recollection of calling her a bitch at all. Neither she did remember apologizing for me it prior, which she did. After the four of us looked at each other in confusion, near comedic shock, at the fact that she was denying the happening at all. She then walked away mid conversation and left. The whole thing came off extremely erratic.
We sat there for a few minutes contemplating the situation. Myself being a sever, and my sister's boyfriend being a sous chef, we couldn't come up with one possible reason that this could be acceptable at any establishment. Upon making that conclusion, my sister's boyfriend asked a near server for a manager.
Soon after, a server, who said she was the manager, came up to our table. She asked us , "Okay , tell me what's going on." We than explained the progression of the dining experience, the erratic opening, the throw of the straws and the silence, followed by a 25 minute order wait, and then the profoundly unexplained "Bitch".
I was quickly interrupted with a "Well, she's known to come off aggressive at times..her tone. Not to defend her!" She then explained that if she was going to complain, she shouldn't have agreed to work a double. I definitely agree! I thought we were getting somewhere.
We emphasized the "Bitch" portion of the evening, as we were still confused at its occurrence. She then seemed disbelieving of it ever occurring, and said that she wasn't trying to take either side.
My sister's boyfriend then asked the name of the server that we had. She responded with, "Why do you need to know that? I don't agree with bashing people on the internet, unless it's child molesters."
It felt like a scene from The Office the way we looked at each other in complete disbelief. My sister's boyfriend asked, "What kind of manager are you?" She then yelled "I'm not going to allow you to attack my character." As a sous chef, he asserted that as, perhaps, a front of house manager, she should be able to fulfill the bare minimum of good and efficient service.
She spent the next minute yelling, asking how old we were, and leaning over the table and yelling in my sister's face. This went on for a minute or two until she yelled "GET THE FUCK OUT!"
We then walked to the front of the restaurant, where we were met with the same hostess from earlier telling us to "Just get out" and that she "Couldn't believe that we didn't say anything to prompt the server to call my sister a bitch." We went back and forth for a while until the "manager" called the police.
We decided it wasn't worth it anymore and left. I cant believe the lengths this establishment went to escalate a solve-able situation that should have never happened. Don't go here unless you enjoy zero employment standards and intoxicated, erratic severs.Helpful 4Thanks 3Love this 1Oh no 2 - Chris F.Tallmadge, OH466222Dec 14, 2023
Good food but.... On a Saturday afternoon around 2:30 pm we stopped for a late lunch. The staff member greeting us looked irritated, sort of stared, took our name, said the wait was 10 minutes, turned around abruptly and walked away. No smile, no pleasantries, just a glare. The waitress was also very rushed, abrupt, flew in and flew out. She eventually became friendlier and the food was good. No excuse for making the customer the victim of your bad day when you're in the service industry.

The food is delicious but the service was very poor. The girl at the front and our waitress seemed like we were a bother to be there.

The absolute best Italian food in Kent! Their food is my go-to when I'm craving Italian and the service is always the best. Their restaurant is close to campus and absolutely perfect for families who are visiting. I highly recommend. Buy their jar of sauce while you are there!!!!

Great pizza and everything else. I'm not usually a chicken parmigiana person, but theirs is amazing. The pepper plate with the amazing rolls is a must order. I always order the zucchini fries as well. I've never had a bad meal there and the staff is friendly and excellent. The owner Tom even came out to check on us, what a nice man. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
